Electronic Single Window System Facilitate Swift Cross Border Trade

Uganda’s importers and exporters are set to cut their cross-border transaction costs and time by 30 percent. This follows the adoption of the Electronic Single Window system that experts say will simplify cross border trade and enhance information sharing between customs and other border agencies. According to Mosses Sabiit, the country Director Trademark East Africa, the platform will allow importers and exporters to submit all necessary documents online without necessarily queuing as the case has been.
