Mayuge Residents Ask UEDCL to Pay for Crops

Residents of Mayuge district are accusing officials from the Uganda Electricity Distribution company of destroying their plantations in the process of extending power lines and their failure to connect them to the grid. Locals say the lines were only put along the main roads with intensions of hoodwinking president Yoweri Museveni that access to power has increased.
