Residents of Jinja and Luuka Cry Out for Food Aid

The reported famine has expanded to new areas; with residents of Jinja and Luuka districts also calling out for food aid.
The two districts – whose residents grow sugarcane to feed the demanding sugar companies in the area, are experienced famine brought about by a long drought and a hailstorm that devastated most of the food crops.
