Swedish Government Invests in Renewable Energy

Access to energy in Uganda, remains a big challenge for majority Ugandans with only 20 percent of the population having access to electricity. But in an effort to extend power to the countryside, the Swedish government and the United Nations capital development fund have forged a partnership, to support SMEs in renewable energy with a hefty 15.5 billion shillings fund.
