Besigye Blocked by Police over Makerere University Fundraising Drive

Police today blocked Rtd Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye from leaving his home to attend a fundraisng drive for the reopening of Makerere University. TheFDC former presidential candidate had tried to leave his Kasangati home with a bull which was to be used in the fundraising when police blocked him. At Makerere, several activists were arrested as they tried to engage in an activity police deem illegal.
