Local Government Ministry Probes Mbarara Municipal Council

The ministry of local government has set up a team to investigate alleged corruption within Mbarara municipal council. The investigation follows a petition by the Municipality Councilors submitted to the ministry calling for the resignation of Mbarara town clerk Johnson Baryantuma Munono. The councilors accuse him of corruption, forgeries and abuse of office among others.
