Review Liberalization Policy, Experts Urge Government

Economists want government to revisit the liberalization policy that they say has exposed local businesses to high competition from foreign ones. The foreign firms are believed to be dealing in the same commodities with locals business using cheap credit from their countries. According to Professor Wasswa Balunya, the Principal Makerere University Business School, government ought to protect its local businesses to transform the economy and reduce capital flight.
