Arrest of Self Proclaimed Ankole King

Police in Mbarara this morning arrested and later released the self-proclaimed King of Ankole Umar Asiimwe to explain the activities he and his subjects carry out while at their palace in Kyabanyoro village in Rwampara. He and his subjects were grilled by security for over 4 hours for interfering and becoming a security threat in the region.
Police later denied arresting him saying they simply wanted him to provide some vital information and to always follow security guidelines.
