LC1 Polls: Government Yet to Respond to EC

The Electoral Commission is stuck with the proposal for holding the Local Council 1 and 2 elections nationwide – with government keeping quiet on the money required for the work.
The Commission requires sh15.9 billion to conduct the long awaited elections originally scheduled for March but the ministry of Finance is yet to give a response on the request.
