Rotary International’s Blood Bank Opened

Prime minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda has called for embracing of blood donation to save lives. Dr Rugunda who was opening a Rotary International sponsored blood bank at Mengo hospital earlier today noted that scarcity of blood continues to be one of the leading causes of maternal deaths in Uganda. The Bank will process over 50 units of blood daily.
