Tackling Illegal Toxic Chemicals

African member states signatory to the Chemical weapons convention have started a process of strengthening regulations against the illegal use of dangerous chemicals. The member states are meeting in Uganda to generate information that will also help industrialists efficiently handle and use chemicals to prevent their proliferation into criminals’ hands.
The continental meeting follows last year’s passing of the Toxic chemical and weapon control bill into law by the Ugandan Parliament.
