Committee Releases Case Backlog Report

The Chief Justice Bart Katureebe has directed all court heads to establish pending judgments and the responsible judicial officials, in a new bid to address inefficiency and clear the current case backlog.
The head of the judiciary took the decision after receiving a report detailing findings of the Justice Richard Buteera led committee that was established last year to carry out inquiries and make recommendations on how to address current backlog and stop future growth.
