High Court Judge on Why Kanyamunyu Was Denied Bail

High court judge, Justice Yasin Nyanzi has given reasons why he denied to grant bail to Mathew Kanyamunyu, the key suspect in the alleged shooting Kenneth Akena.
He says he was convinced by an affidavit sworn by one of the state attorneys who noted that the accused had capacity to interfere with witnesses and evidence as revealed at committal. This, the judge found outweighed the fact that bail was a constitutional right.
