Committee on Agriculture Calls for More Sector Funding

Parliament committee on agriculture has castigated government for ignoring the role Agriculture, and giving it a insufficient budgetary vote in the 2017 / 2018 financial year.
The committee was augmented by numerous civil society organizations , saying the Shs883 billion earmarked for agriculture cannot meet the sector challenges like hiring of extension workers and veterinary doctors.
Civil society organization contend that more money need to be injected into the sector production is to improve.
