UCC Cracks Whip on Illegal Broadcasters

Illegal public broadcasters risk facing up to five years in jail, or pay a fee of 30million shillings or even both after the first culprit dragged to court by the Uganda Communications Commission has been sentenced.
Ssemwanga Gerald has been sentenced to two months in prison by Buganda road Chief Magistrate for his continued illegal broadcast and installation of broadcasting equipment.
