300 Rwizi Families to be Evicted

The National Environment and Management Authority will demolish and evict over 300 homesteads that encroached on river Rwizi banks. Reports indicate some high-profile government officials with farms in the river catchment areas will be affected in the Rwizi restoration exercise that is yet to start. According to the NEMA focal person western region, Jeconious Musingwire there will be no compensation to the affected parties.
