Uganda to Depend On Kenya for Actual Construction of Standard Gauge Railway

Works and transport Minister Monica Azuba Ntege has poured scorn on public claims that Uganda has been slow in implementing the construction of the standard gauge railway. The minister explains that the construction process entirely depends on different factors among them is the ability to have Kenya and Uganda connect at the same time to avoid having a hanging and idle railway. Her Kenyan counterpart James Macharia, who is Kenya’s transport cabinet sectary, joined to put lighter on the strategic delay.
