Minister Hails CSO’s Environment Conservation Role

The Ministry of Water and Environment has set forestry and wetlands restoration targets in order to curb the adverse climate change impacts that continue to be witnessed in the country. The state Minister for Environment Dr. Goretti Mary Kitutu says by 2020, the National forestry Authority and National Environment Management Authority should have increased the forest cover from 10% to 18% and 8% to 12% for wetlands respectively
