URA Performs Below Target

Uganda Revenue Authority admits it might struggle to meet the 2017/2018 financial years revenue collection target. The taxman says the ministry of Finance set the target without considering the many tax waivers introduced on commodities, which previously generated a lot of revenue. This as the commissioner General Doris Akol revealed that the net revenue collection for the just ended financial year performance was below the initial set target by 457.51 billion shilling.
