Over 20 Arrested Over Wetland Encroachment in Buhweju

20 people have been arrested in Buhweju district for having encroached on wetlands as well as cultivating river Rwizi catchment areas. These were arrested in an operation spearheaded by the RDC, environment officer and other environmental activists in the region in a bid to restore the degenerating river.
