Court Of Appeal Delaying Justice – MPs

Two members of Parliament Gerald Karuhanga of Ntungamo Municipality and Kabweri MP Francis Gonahasa have petitioned the Auditor General’s officer asking for an investigation into circumstances under which the Court of Appeal has been slow is disposing off election petition cases.
Speaking to Journalists at Parliament, the two legislators believe the Court of appeal has breached the Parliamentary elections act that mandates all parliamentary election cases disposed off within a period of six months after the election date.
Over 70 parliamentary election petitions were filed in the Court of appeal after but many are yet to be determined.
