Public service minister Muruli Mukasa, former attorney general peter Nyombi and commissioner of police Willy Odong piny are the names on the lips of every resident of Bukoba village in Mityana district, where thousands of locals have been evicted on a 12 square mile piece of land. The disputed land was allocated to the ex service men in the 60s by the British government, but has since become an area of contention between the locals and a one AbidAlaam, an investor of Indian origin. The locals accuse the government officials of connivance in the loss of their land and fabricating cases against them.
