Nurses and Midwives Threaten to Strike in 7 Days to Strike

Bukenya Paul ( General Secretary Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union): The agenda which was raised by UMA was right but we couldn’t join the strike because there’s a process we had to follow Nurses have issues pending; working environment is bad, salaries are very low. Nurses are on duty but they are traumatized. We want to make sure government is fair. Nurses constitute over 21,000 of the work force.
