Sanlam Takes Over Lion Assurance
South African Insurer, Sanlam has acquired 100 percent stake in Lion Assurance Company limited at 6.5 million dollars. The takeover comes just months after Lion Assurance itself acquired AIG in Uganda. Directors of Sanlam Insurance believe the acquisition is a major step towards improving insurance services in the country.
