Abiriga Proposes a Bill to Lift Term Limits from 5 to 7 Years

Arua Municipality Member of Parliament Colonel Ibrahim Abiriga returns to the scene, this time with announcement that there are plans by a section of legislators t to table a private members bill to lift the term limit of all elective offices from five to seven years.. Speaking to NBS Television at Parliament this evening, the NRM Legislator said the five years in office is too short a period for an elected leader to offer adequate service to the electorates hence the need for an increment to seven years.
