Jopadholas/ Itesots Feud Over Stadium

A tribal conflict is looming in Tororo district between the Jopadholas and Itesots over the proposed Iteso Cultural Heritage day celebrations scheduled for tomorrow at King George Stadium in Tororo Municipality. The Jopadhola through their Prime Minister Richard Obbo claim that the proposed use of the venue by the Itesots is a provocation which may result into violence since the Japadhola consider the stadium their coronation because it is here that their cultural leader was installed. This has prompted security agents in the district to heavily deploy police in and out of Tororo town to prevent the anticipated chaos.
