Elephants Destroying Crops in Kasese Farms, Residents Demonstrate

Farmers in Kasese district are facing serious threat from wild animals. Standing crops on many acres especially in Karusandara Sub-County; have been destroyed by animals in search of food. The angry farmers have now threatened to kill these animals, particularly elephants that cross from queen Elizabeth National Park. The farmers held demonstrations and moved to Kyondo Rangers post expressing their dissatisfaction following the invasion of elephants on their farmland.
