Museveni Attacks Judiciary Over ‘Lenient Sentences’
President Yoweri Museveni has attacked the judiciary over lenient punishments awarded to hard core criminals. Museveni who was addressing judges condemned the lenient sentence awarded to butchers convicted of selling tainted beef last week. Museveni, who defended his decision to consider activating the death penalty, also attacked the civil society over interference in the work of government. More in this report.
