Public Accounts Committee Wants Keith Muhakanizi Out of Office

Legislators sitting on the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament have warned the Auditor General against bowing to intimidation from the Secretary to the Treasury and Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Keith Muhakanizi over the ongoing auditing of the 720 billion shillings as directed by the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga. The Committee members who maintain that the Permanent Secretary should be forced to quit his job for causing a financial loss of 200million US dollars and breaching the financial laws, are skeptical that the parallel investigation by the Auditor General may be manipulated. The legislators have also lashed out to the permanent secretary for describing Members of Parliament as ignorant.
