Lawyers Unhappy About Re-arrest of Suspects

Lawyers are skeptical about the orders issued by the Inspector General of Police barring the re-arrest of suspects within court premises. They argue that most re arrests are carried out by other security organs who may not be bound by the IGPs orders. The order comes at a time when security operatives are under heavy criticism for the brutal re-arrest of suspects, violating their right to bail and tainting the independence of the judiciary.
