Phone Users Frustrated by Telecom-UCC Ping-Pong Games

Frustration is mounting among the population, over the protracted directive by the Uganda communications commission to halt issuance and registration of SIM cards. Whereas the Uganda Communications Commission had earlier communicated that the directives were lifted allowing members of the public to replace and buy SIM cards. The latest however is a contradictory statement from the same institution maintaining the earlier position. This has left many Ugandans stranded with letters and forms from all the relevant stakeholders but with no hope of ever getting the SIM cards replaced.
