Taxing Sports Equipment’

The taxes on sports equipment have for years troubled sports federations in Uganda with many calling for government to stop taxing local bodies when they import equipment used in their respective disciplines. Badminton for example is one sport whose equipment is quite costly because of the taxes levied. Today NBS spoke to seasoned Badminton coach and administrator Simon Mugabi who explains how these taxes affect an athlete’s performance.
