Tear Gas in Jinja as Police Disperses Warring Taxi Drivers

Police in Jinja this morning fired teargas to disperse warring factions of Taxi operators and Mini bus drivers
Trouble ensued when disgruntled Mini bus drivers at Bugembe Stage blocked both Katch and Alidina roads accusing their counterparts in the transport sector of failing to heed to their agreed position of raising transport fares from shs 500 to shs1000 due to the run-away fuel prices.
