Parliament Protests UN Base Relocation

Parliament has passed a resolution supporting government to intensify its diplomatic engagement with the United Nations Secretariat over the relocation of the UN Regional Service Centre from Entebbe to Nairobi. In a parliamentary sitting chaired by Speaker Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, the legislator argued that relocating the UN service base will make Uganda lose over 30 million US Dollars annually.
