New Census for Bwindi Gorillas

The Bwindi impenetrable National Park is known to have one of the largest mountain gorilla populations in the world and now, the Uganda Wildlife Authority will discover just how many individuals reside in the area with a new gorilla census ongoing. Bwindi, which is part of the Virunga ecosystem, is home to over 50% of the total mountain gorilla population. The new census is aimed at assessing their numbers and document information on poaching and other illegal activities.
