Police Wants 48 hour Detention

The Uganda Police Force has asked the parliamentary Human rights committee to back up their plan that will see an amendment in the 48 hour rule of detention. According to police, giving an extended period will allow law enforcers to conduct a thorough investigation before suspects are brought to courts of law.
