URA Incinerates Smuggled Goods

The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has incinerated smuggled items worth 2trillion that were impounded in the last six months. The incinerated items contained 33,560 kilograms of cosmetics, 38,640 kgs of Mekako soap and 21metric tones of cigarettes. According to Agnes Nabwere the assistant commissioner enforcement at URA, since most of the products are harmful, they would continue to hunt them off the market.
