Government Bans Export of Charcoal from N. Uganda

Government has banned the export of charcoal from Northern Uganda to neighboring Kenya. The move announced by the Minister of Water and Environment Sam Cheptoris is aimed at repopulating the sub region with trees following a sharp rise in charcoal burning. More in this report.
