Sheema Battle as 8 Run for NRM Ticket

The minister for Science and Innovations also Member of Parliament for Sheema North was on Thursday nominated to contest in the NRM primaries for the newly created Sheema Municipality despite opposition from a large section of residents who accuse him of being greedy. Minister Elioda Tumwesigye was nominated although he refused to relinquish the Sheema North seat he currently holds. Dr Tumwesigye joined seven others who have expressed interest to contest on the NRM ticket.
