South Sudan Peace Talk Yields Power Sharing Deal

South Sudan’s warring leaders Salva Kiir and Reik Machar last night agreed to a power sharing deal during a meeting chaired by President Yoweri Museveni and Sudan’s El Omar Bashir. The July 07, agreement will see the rebel leader Machar return to Juba in his former position as the 1stvice president. President Yoweri Museveni and the Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir presented the proposals on the outstanding issues to President Kiir and opposition and SPLM-IO leader Dr. Riek Machar.
