Airtel on Agent Commission Reduction

Telecommunications Company Airtel Uganda has explained the reduction in commission paid to its agents arguing that it is informed by the new taxes levied on mobile money transactions. According to the Public Relations Manager Sumin Namaganda, Airtel as a commission agent has to implement the 10% tax as enshrined in the tax amendments made in the Budget for the financial year 2018/19.
