MPs Want To Retable 7 Year Tenure Motion

Just days after the constitutional court threw out the 7 year term for members of parliament, a section of legislators are mooting a proposal to retable a bill that will see the extension of years for the Members of Parliament and local council leaders from five to seven years as it had been passed in the Raphael Magyezi bill. To these legislators it’s unfortunate that the Constitutional court nullified the seven year tenure of their office arguing that the five years are inadequate to enable them fulfill their mandate of representation
