Panic As Mubage Appears To Back Opposition

Zimbabwe’s ex-leader Robert Mugabe sent shockwaves through the party ahead of Monday’s presidential elections by announcing that he will support opposition candidate Nelson Chemisa. Mugabe said he would not support his successor in the Zanu-PF party, Emmerson Mnangagwa, after being forced from office by the party he founded. Zimbabweans go to the polls on Monday in the first vote since Mugabe was ousted in November last years.
