Social Media Tax Day One, Many Off Social Media

Days after the 2018/19 budget reading, new taxes have taken effect leaving many Ugandans feeling the pinch of the extra tax burden. Speaking to NBS Television, many ordinary Ugandans have expressed displeasure with the Over the Top (OTT) service taxi that requires they part with UGX 200 daily to access social media and the 1% levy mobile money transactions.
