Embracing a Cashless Economy

The financial sector is slowly advancing into cashless and adopting digital technologies. Telecom companies are leading this development with the latest being MTN Uganda’s momo pay, a new innovation which enables customers pay for goods and services using mobile money. Christopher Ssali, the manager mobile money operations at MTN Uganda says this service does not attract any tax or charges whatsoever.
