Opondo Ofwono Defends Museveni's Tough Talk on Age Limit Ruling

Government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo has defended President Museveni’s remarks on the ruling of the constitutional court that nullified the 7-year term for members of parliament. He said the relationship between the two arms of government are not under any threat. He said, as opposed to the interpretation by a section of the public, the president didn’t intend to intimidate the judge in his missive. President Museveni was quoted in a statement among others that judges are not in charge of the country, sparking public debate.
