UPDF Deploys 1000 LDUs Along DRC Border


The Uganda People’s Defense Forces has deployed over 1000 Local Defense units’ recruits along the Uganda – Congo boarder to beef up the security along the border. The LDU’S will be working with the UPDF soldiers that have been deployed since 2015 to fight the Allied Defense Forces and ensure security along the porous Ugandan boarders. Deputy Army Spokesperson Lt.col Deo Akiiki says the deployment follows a directive by the Commander in chief of the Armed forces.
