The Fight Against Aflatoxin

Following a 2017 Aflatoxin report, which showed 45% of Uganda’s grain is contaminated with aflatoxin; the government has developed a strategic action plan to manage aflatoxin. Joy Kabatsi Kafura, the State Minister for Animal Industry, attributes the problem to poor pre-harvest practices on farms and need to be addressed.
