Bobi Wine Granted Ugx 1 Million Bail

After establishing substantial sureties, Magistrate Esther Nahirya granted Bobi Wine bail of Ugx 1 Million cash. The court session was done over the internet in the newly passed Virtual Courts introduced just a few weeks ago.

His sureties were bonded at a tune of Ugx 10 Million non cash followed by strict terms he had to adhere to. Bobi Wine’s lawyer Samuel Muyizi stated that the court has exceeded its discretion and jurisdiction. He also added that they are going to invoke the power of the supervising courts to clarify and give parameters going forward.

Bobi Wine would be expected back in court on the 23rd of May along with 4 co-accused.
