Lawyers React To UCC Letter

City lawyers Byansi Henry and Bwire Ronald from Mayende and Associated Advocates opened a legal battle with Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). This is to challenge their decision to suspend senior journalists from 10 media houses.

The lawyers have called onto the High Court to restrain UCC from enhancing their directive to suspend NBS TV’s Head of News, Head of Programming and News Producer with the claim by showing certain footage they were inciting violence. They claimed their decision was illegal and should be null and void. More so opportunity wasn’t given to the people to be heard.
